5/28/2013 - Pro Tickle Hoping Familiarity Breeds Success

BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (May 27) - As the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship shifts from the Rocky Mountains to the Great Smoky Mountains, rider Broc Tickle is going to enjoy every advantage he can at Saturday's inaugural Built Ford Tough Tennessee National at Muddy Creek Raceway.

Tickle, who rides a 450cc Dodge/Sycuan Casino RCH Suzuki, got his amateur start racing on East Coast tracks, including Muddy Creek.

"I rode at this track all the way through my amateur career," Tickle said. "Going there brings back good memories of good rides, so I'm looking forward to it."

Tickle doesn't expect the track to quite fit his amateur memories, but he believes it won't take him very long to get reacquainted with the hilly course.

"The track is going to be totally different," Tickle said. "But it's still going to be cool to be back at the facility that I've been racing at since I was 5 years old."

Tickle is 14th in the 450cc points standings after a 15th-place finish last week in Denver.

"I've not started the way I have wanted," Tickle said. "But I feel like if I get a good start, it'll turn things around."
