6/29/2013 - Tickle posts another top 10 finish for

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (June 29) - Count Suzuki rider Broc Tickle among those who are sad Moto-X 338 likely won't return next season. Tickle scored his fourth consecutive top 10 in the 450cc class with a ninth-place finish in Saturday's Moto-X 338 National.

"It is the last year we're racing here and it's a bummer," Tickle said. "I really like riding here."

The famed track is likely coming off the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship schedule next season, and Tickle will miss racing on its noted sand.

"I grew up racing in the sand," Tickle said. "For me, it's fun. Ninth overall today, and I bumped myself up in points one position. That's the biggest positive out of the whole day."

Tickle's teammate Justin Brayton finished 16th overall after a seventh-place finish in Moto 2.

Tickle finished 11th in the first moto and 10th in the second.

"Honestly I struggled there at the end, but I gave it everything I had to try to pass Malcolm (Stewart)," Tickle said. "I gave it all I had in the second moto. It's frustrating I finished 10th."

Tickle figures his sluggish finish was because he pushed himself too hard in his physical training earlier this week.

"Maybe I'll take it a little slower next week," Tickle said. "Last week I hit it hard, and I think it's a little bit of the reason why I struggled in that second moto. I normally don't struggle conditioning-wise. I felt like in that second moto I had a higher heart rate than normal. Maybe I'll take it a little easy one of the days this week."

Tickle is eighth in the 450cc standings at the halfway mark of the season, only four points out of seventh.

"We'll get ready for next weekend," Tickle said. "I'm looking forward to RedBud; it's somewhat of a home race for me. My wife's family is from there, so it'll be exciting to be there. It's my favorite track on the whole circuit."

Next Saturday's RedBud National will be contested in Buchanan, Mich.
