2/3/2017 - RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Back to Full Strength†

CHINO, Calif. (February 3, 2017) Ė After racing last weekend with one rider on the gate and one on the sidelines, RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing is back to full strength when Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, takes the green flag tomorrow night at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum.

Justin Bogle, rider of RCHís No. 19 Suzuki RM-Z450, returns to the seat this weekend after missing Round 4 in Phoenix following a nasty spill two races ago at Anaheim. Bogle spent the past two weeks recuperating from his injuries and preparing to be at the top of his game when the starting gate falls on Round 5.

ďIím ready to go,Ē explained Bogle. ďI had a great week and healthwise, Iím back to feeling good. Iím excited about this weekend and Iím very happy with our decision to sit out last weekend to let my body heal. I got a full week of solid riding and training this week so Iím ready to put our Suzuki up front Saturday night in Oakland.Ē

Following his highly anticipated move to RCH over the off season, Bogle was on the rise during the seasonís first three races until the incident in Anaheim left him unable to compete in Phoenix. With only three races into his tenure with RCH, the decision to sit out a week wasnít taken lightly but was no doubt the right one for all parties.

ďI didnít really get off the couch for a couple days after that and even then I still didnít feel very good,Ē continued Bogle. ďI wasnít just going to show up at the race, to say I did. Looking at things and being 100 percent honest with myself, I wasnít in the championship picture, especially after not qualifying for the main at A2. Being realistic, Iíve been injured before, we all have, and Iíve ridden through just about every injury Iíve ever had. The days of being young and worrying about people thinking Iím not tough are long gone. Iíve proven to myself that I can handle whatever. I owe it to my team and my sponsors to be ready to go and be able to race up front instead of just messing around in the back. Thatís not me and thatís not who this team is. We all work way too hard.Ē

While a 450SX main event trophy still eludes Bogleís RCH stablemate Broc Tickle, the rider of the No. 20 RM-Z450 picked up the 250SX Oakland win in 2011 while riding for legendary team owner Mitch Payton.

ďOakland has been a great track for me,Ē commented Tickle. ďIíve had some of the best rides of my career in Oakland. I got my second win in the 250 Class in Oakland. I missed a couple years because of injury but Iíve always enjoyed the dirt out there and rain is in the forecast so Iím excited.Ē

Tickle powered through adversity to finish 13th last Saturday night at University of Phoenix Stadium and comes into Round 5 15th in points. Tickle came up short on a jump in the rhythm section during practice but despite what appeared to be a nasty spill, bounced back to finish third in his semi-final and be on the starting gate for the main event.

ďI feel fine,Ē added Tickle. ďIím good but I need to get my act together. Itís time to get going. I have all the tools. Iíve been riding better than I ever have during the week. I feel the best I ever have but the results arenít showing it. I need to apply myself better on race day. Thatís what it comes down to. It starts in the morning when you wake up and when you hit the track for the first time. I donít think Iíve been as aggressive as I need to be early in the day. I need to come out firing right away. Iíve been starting slow and then building speed as I go along. I need to treat practice as a race. That will help me get more laps in before the night program starts. That just starts the day off better. Itís just the mindset of going out there and doing it. For me, thatís going to come down to changing my mindset on race day and making it happen.Ē

Meanwhile, Bogleís sophomore season aboard a 450 affords him the opportunity to race at some new venues and take in some of the sights not exactly common to his Oklahoma roots.

ďIím excited about Oakland this weekend because I havenít raced there before. One of my best friends and roommate (Colt Nichols) had the best race of his career at Oakland last year on a 250 so thereís good vibes in my house about Oakland. Iím really looking forward to it. Iím going up a little early to visit some sponsors, see some stuff and try to enjoy myself a little bit, too. Iíve been doing this for a few years and Iíve learned that you have to enjoy yourself. You canít just do the airport, track, hotel thing all the time. We get a lot of cool opportunities doing what we do and sometimes you have to take advantage of that. I really like going somewhere new.Ē

Before the gate drops, Bogle and Tickle will meet fans and sign autographs tonight from 6 p.m. Ė 7 p.m. at East Bay Motorsports. Located less than nine miles south of Oakland Alameda County Coliseum, East Bay Motorsports sells and services multiple product lines and offers parts for new and used motorcycles, ATV's, quads, personal watercraft, scooters, and sport boats.

The fifth of 17 rounds on the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross schedule will be televised on FS2 Saturday, Feb 4 beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 4 p.m. Pacific.
